I am pleased to announce some progress! I was able to access the space yesterday (for the first time since April), while assisting the County in preparing to return items to Consignors next week. Wiggle Room will be open for retrieval of consigned items July 12 - July 14th from 10am to 3pm. Consignors do not need to preregister with the county in order to retrieve their items. You will need a photo ID for the County to release items to you. We continue to thank you for your patience as we work toward returning your items and finalizing accounts.
Updated June 20th:
Wiggle Room is working with the Montgomery County Office of Consumer Protection to coordinate dates on which the County will open the store to allow individuals to come claim their items. Wiggle Room is also taking action to obtain access to its computer system, books and accounts to resolve any outstanding claims. Once the County has finalized the dates on which the store will be open, they will be posted on this website, so please check back frequently. The County will also be advertising as well. Once again, we are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as Wiggle Room works to resolve this matter.
Updated June 2nd:
I unfortunately have little to update, as another week has gone by and several questions remain. I have reached out to elected officials to try and find out additional information from the OCP about the return of consigned items, and have finally been told that the County OCP will be working with the landlord next week to begin returning items. I remain without access or additional information. Please find a copy of the email I sent to Councilmember Berliner's office at the bottom of this page. Despite my best efforts in trying to access Wiggle Room, its contents or the database/records, I have been unsuccessful.
At this point, I can only offer and suggest that Consignors contact the Landlord directly or the MoCo Office of Consumer Protection as the sign on the front door suggests. I will continue to post updates, should there be any on this site.
