'Twas the night before more snowfall, when all through the town
Every creature was restless, while cozy in down;
The forecasters call for more snow and ice,
And here we are thinking, this couldn't happen twice!
While the children have gone through all their crafts and games,
The grownups snap pictures suitable for frames!
Then out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from our desks to see what was the matter.
Away to the store window we flew like a flash,
Pushed open the curtains and heard a huge splash!
The snowplows were here, pavement finally in sight,
Only two days before what will be another snowy night!
